Fun, Faith, Friends

The trip to and from Jenness Park is one of the highlights of camp. With cell phones and electronics prohibited, students are forced to talk with each other, sing to the radio and enjoy iconic stops like burgers at In-N-Out.

Students will spend two nights at a cabin in Twain Harte, CA resting from travel and bonding with the group through activities and devotion time.

Jenness Park is a Christian Campground in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains of eastern California. For over 60 years it has been used to facilitate spiritual growth to about 400 students each week of the summer. The camp offers a variety of activities during free time including, but not limited to, swimming, paintball, crafts, and basketball.

Fuge Camps is a ministry of Lifeway Christian Resources. Organized in 1979, Fuge organizes camps in over 20 locations across the United States. Fuge prioritizes spiritual growth and missions in a high-energy, fun environment. Fuge’s mission and beliefs are solidly in line with the mission and beliefs of Crossridge.

PAYMENTS

A $100 deposit reserves a spot for your student, with additional payments due in March, April, May and June. Register by February 1st and the total cost is only $500. Camp cost will increase to $650 for registrations after February 1st! An additional discount of $50/student will be applied if you are registering more than one child for MS or HS summer camp.

Adult Leaders

All of our adult leaders, as well as all of the adult leaders at the camp, volunteer and staff, have gone through criminal background checks and watched child safety training videos. We will be taking at least 2 adult male and 2 adult female leaders based upon the number of students going.

Pastor Bil Smith is the youth pastor at Crossridge. He has taken students to camp more than 20 times. He has taken students to this camp more than 10 times. He met his wife Sarah at this camp in 2002.

About Jenness Park

Jenness Park is a Christian Campground in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of eastern California. For over 60 years, Jenness Park has been used to facilitate spiritual growth. Jenness Park has facilities to minister to about 500 campers at a time. Generally, for Centrifuge, there is somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 students and adult leaders from anywhere from 5 to 40 churches. Students’ sleeping cabins are separated by gender on opposite ends of the camp. Students stay in the same cabin with students and adult leaders from the students’ church. For more information on Jenness Park, go to jennesspark.com.

Cell Phones/Electronic Devices

One of the great benefits of camp is the camaraderie and community built between students both during camp and the trips to and from camp. Accordingly, we do not allow the use of cell phones and electronic devices.

At the beginning of the trip, one of our leaders will collect everyone’s phone and/or device. On Saturday night and Sunday night, students will have the opportunity to call their parents.

At the camp, there is no cell service, so the phones would be of no use. When returning, students will be given their phones when we reach Salem in order to call parents to let parents know the students will be at Crossridge for pickup in roughly 30 minutes.
